Agora Energiewende is looking for a Team Assistant to support the work of our China Team and to ensure a functioning back-office in Berlin for Agora’s China-based colleagues.
The world’s energy systems are changing rapidly, driven by cheap renewable energy expansion. While those progress are encouraging, several political, societal, technical, and economic challenges remain to transform world economies in line with climate mitigation objective and development goals. China plays a key role in this transformation process, as a powerhouse in the forefront of the energy transition and a key technology manufacturer.
Agora Energiewende develops evidence-based strategies that support decision-makers and stakeholders at all levels in navigating the technical, economic, and political complexities of the energy transition around the globe. We are independent of government and business interests, looking to build the bridge between research and political decision-making. We facilitate the exchange of knowledge with stakeholders in the realms of politics, business, and academia while enabling a productive exchange of ideas.
Our team in Berlin (main office), Brussels, Bangkok and Beijing is multinational, multidisciplinary, and works across the globe with various partners. Our international work is implemented and coordinated with the support of a strong organizational and operational team, that is crucial to the achievement of our missions. Team Assistant China - Power system transformation - (f/m/d)
Berlin-based / full-time
In this role, you support Agora’s China Team and the operation of Agora’s China office and facilitate the administrative liaison with the rest of the organization. Equipped with a variety of skills, ranging from financial management to event planning, you have a strong sense of self-initiative and enjoy working in a dynamic and multicultural environment. While you do not necessarily need experience in the clean energy sector, you have an interest in climate protection and EU policymaking more broadly.
